Confirmation Class
At least once every two years, a Confirmation Class is held at First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit for young people in 7th through 12th grades who have made a decision to join our church.
Participation in weekly Confirmation Class sessions over a three-month period and in a weekend mission trip are required, and Class members also prepare a statement of faith and meet with our church Session (an elected board of 21 Elders) before graduating from the Class. The “We Believe” confirmation curriculum is used, and each young person is sponsored and supported by an adult church member who is charged with helping them continue their growth and participation in the congregation and in the Christian life.
