Join us this summer for an amazing Bible adventure filled with laughter, learning, and fun times with friends new and old!
Around the world, millions of people suffer from racial injustice, gender injustice, wars and conflict, and religious discrimination. This special offering fights against these concerns.
At First Presbyterian Church we offer an opportunity for every voice to sing God’s praises through our excellent and varied music program.
Our musical groups and choirs, led by professional and volunteer musicians, perform in a wide variety of musical styles (and languages!), with at least one group or choir participating in each service.
All choirs meet regularly on Wednesday evenings for practice, and new musicians (members and non-members alike) are always welcome to join in.
Choir “season” generally runs from September through May of each year. Our church is blessed with several choirs which participate in worship.
We also enjoy the wonderful sounds of a 1922 Möller pipe organ.
Bible Time, a new program for our children (age 4 to approx. grade 4) to hear Bible stories told in a fun and engaging way. Each Sunday morning following the anthem, children will be invited to depart the sanctuary for Bible Time (designed to last about 20 minutes). They will return for the Prayers and the end of the service.
A note about scholarships: There are several scholarships available to youth of various ages for conferences, camp, and other programs. Check out our scholarship page.
For details regarding specific youth activities and events, check our Christian Education page.
Our worship services blend classic and contemporary elements. On any given Sunday, you might hear Bach or Brubeck. The prayers are spoken in language we understand. The sermons interpret the scripture in helpful and hopeful words. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
Masks are not required in the building, however if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do. Your concerns are valued and respected.
10:00AM – 11:00AM We offer a classic service that we have enjoyed for many years: a full liturgy of traditional worship with the stirring sounds of the organ and our choirs.

This five week Wednesday Bible Study series continues through May 20 as we explore what the Bible teaches us about who strangers and aliens are, and how to respond to them when they come among us today. Sessions will cover a varied collection of topics.
We meet at 6:00 pm in the library (Room 206)
This group normally meets on the first and third Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are your doing for others?”
The purpose of the Mission & Justice Committee of First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit is to provide church and community members with the opportunity to serve as Christ’s disciples. Following Christ’s teaching, we seek to minister to those in greatest need, seeking equality, challenging injustice and working towards a world of peace.
Guided by our denomination’s Office of Presbyterian Missions we support a variety of local, national, and even international organizations working on issues of mission and justice.
Some of those we support are listed below.
We also promote the four PC (USA) “Special Offerings” across each year, most of which support mission and justice work, and organize educational experiences (classes, table-talks, visual displays, print pieces, etc.) to inform and inspire our congregation.
