Activities & Groups

We host and organize many activities for both the congregation and the community.

Listed below are some of the church’s activities. Contact the church office at 570-586-6306 for more information about any of these activities.

Presbyterian Women

Special events are organized seasonally to provide fellowship and nurturing to the women of the church. This group hosts two parties each year for the Clarks Summit State Hospital Patients. All women of the church are invited to activities publicized in church bulletins or newsletters



Women’s Circles

Study circles meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM either in a Circle member’s home or in Fellowship Hall. Childcare arrangements can be made upon request. All women of the church are welcome.



Prayer and Share

This prayer group meets Wednesday at 10:00 AM in Room 209. All are welcome.



My Brother’s Keeper Quilts

This group makes sleeping bags for the homeless. They meet on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 AM in Fellowship Hall.



Men’s Breakfast

Meets the first and third Thursdays of each month at 8:30 AM in Room 206 for study and fellowship. All men are invited.



Teachers of The WAY 

(Wednesday Adult and Youth) Help our young people and adults learn about God and His wonderful work. Volunteer to be a teacher for our children age 2 through adults at our Wednesday evening Church School.



Church Office Volunteers

Each weekday morning,a volunteer works in the church office from 9:00AM to Noon, assisting on a variety of projects.



Book Group

This group meets generally the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00PM. Members volunteer to host the meeting, and all are welcome to come for a lively discussion of the current book, along with dessert and coffee/tea.



Overeaters Anonymous

A 12-step recovery program for people with eating disorders meets in Room 210. Phone: 570-319-6645



Tradition 3 Group AA

A 12-step recovery program for recovering alcoholics and drug abusers. Meets every morning at 7:00 AM in Room 206. Phone: 570-586-6306

Jazz with the Blue Note Jazztet

The Blue Note Jazztet  specializes in the finger-snapping tunes from the venerable tradition of the  Blue Note record label . This is hard-swinging and accessible music, mostly from the 1950’s and ‘60’s.

 

CEO Weinburg Food Bank
