Special Offerings
Around the world, millions of people lack access to sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation, education, and opportunity. Your support of the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) serves individuals and communities in need.
Churches throughout the country are struggling to meet everyday operating expenses, and our own Church on the Hill is no different. Churches are using memorial gifts and other dedicated funds to meet these needs, which is not sustainable.
To ensure a long-term source of funds to sustain us through the twenty-first century, the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit has established the FPCCS Endowment Fund, administered by the Presbyterian Foundation. Unlike memorial gifts, and general pledges, this fund will use earning from the accumulated donations and endowments to sustain our operations with predictable and sustainable income. Your gift to the FPCCS Endowment Fund supports a thriving community of faith, one that makes a difference in the lives of our church family, our neighbors and the world.
Our fund is managed by The Presbyterian Foundation. For over 200 years, the Foundation has created long-term and sustainable value and income in perpetuity for churches and donors.

The need is now…
In 2018, 2019 and 2021, the church has transferred between $20,000 and $30,000 from the Building Maintenance, Ministry Enhancement, and Memorial Funds to the General Operating Fund to cover expenses. The Endowment Fund will generate earnings to help meet current and future expenses, to put our congregation on a stronger, more stable financial footing. Our fund is managed by The Presbyterian Foundation. For over 200 years, the Foundation’s funds have created long-term, sustainable value and income in perpetuity for churches and donors.
